Founded in 1988, Shandong Zhaojin Motian Co., Ltd. is one of the enterprises with a long history of development in China’s separation membrane industry. It is a state-owned large-scale water company, which is held by Shandong Zhaojin Group, one of the top 500 enterprises in China, and integrates the research and development of membrane technology, the production of separation membranes, the manufacture of water treatment equipments, and the design, operation and delivery of environmental protection and water treatment projects.

The company was successfully listed on the New Third Board in August 2016 (stock abbreviation: Zhaojin Motian, stock code: 838813).

Zhaojin Motian has built a modern large-scale membrane industrial base covering an area of more than 100,000 square metres, with reverse osmosis membrane production line, roll membrane production line, with an annual production capacity of 7 million square metres of hollow fibre ultrafiltration, microfiltration membranes, reverse osmosis membranes of 3 million square metres. The company has hollow fibre ultrafiltration/microfiltration separation membranes such as polysulfone, polyethersulfone, polyvinylidene fluoride and other hollow fibre ultrafiltration/microfiltration separation membranes, as well as rolled ultrafiltration, nanofiltration, pollution-resistant RO membranes, desalination membranes, and other preparation technologies, and it is one of the domestic enterprises that have high-performance membrane manufacturing technologies.

Adhering to the corporate mission of ‘wishing every drop of water in the world to be pure’, Zhaojin Motian adheres to continuous innovation, continuous optimisation and upgrading, and is fully committed to the application of advanced membrane separation technology in solving all kinds of water resource problems. The company has mastered the key core technologies of membrane water resources, including membrane drinking water purification, municipal wastewater treatment MBR upgrading and transformation, full membrane water reuse, brackish water and seawater desalination, industrial water supply and drainage treatment, and heavy metal wastewater treatment and reuse.

The company has three innovation platforms: the Joint Engineering Laboratory of High-performance Membrane and Membrane Engineering Technology, the Shandong Province Membrane Separation Materials Engineering Technology Research Center, and the Shandong Province Enterprise Technology Center. It integrates and applies membrane technologies such as microfiltration, ultrafiltration, MBR, and reverse osmosis. Many of its membrane-making technologies, wastewater resource utilization, concentration and separation, and other technologies have won multiple science and technology awards.

The company has been identified as: National High-tech Enterprise, Vice Chairman of China Membrane Industry Standardisation Committee, National ‘863’ Plan Project Implementation Unit, National Science and Technology Support Plan Host Unit, National Industrialisation Demonstration Project Undertaking Unit, National Science and Technology Major Special Project Implementation Unit.
